Banned Books Week (22-28 Sep)

“Books won’t stay banned. They won’t burn. Ideas won’t go to jail. In the long run of history, the censor and the inquisitor have always lost. The only weapon against bad ideas is better ideas.” – Alfred Whitney Griswold, New York Times, 24 February 1959 (via tigerkid14)

This week is the Banned Books Week!  Let’s celebrate the freedom to read!  Check out The Great Gatsby by F. SCOTT FITZGERALD and 1984 by George Owell.  We will introduce more challenged/banned books to you in the coming days.  Stay tuned!
